Headteacher's Welcome

It is both a privilege and a great honour to welcome you and your family to St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School. As Headteacher, I am incredibly proud to represent our school and the wonderful community that makes it such a special place to learn and grow.

Our Mission Statement is at the heart of everything we do: ‘Love Jesus, Love Ourselves, Love Each Other, Love Learning, Love Life’

This is inspired by the Gospel of John 10:10: “I have come that they may have life and live it to the full.”

Christ is at the centre of our school and children are at the heart of all we do. We believe that every child is unique and created in the image of God. Each child deserves to be valued as an individual and to experience an exciting and enriching learning journey that both supports and challenges them spiritually, socially and academically.

We are blessed to have a highly dedicated and skilled team of staff and Governors who work collaboratively and tirelessly to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. We are proud of the safe, nurturing and welcoming environment we have established at St Joseph’s. The excellent care, support and guidance we provide enables strong, positive relationships to flourish between pupils, parents and staff.

We have high expectations of both behaviour and learning, and these expectations are shared across our school community. By working in close partnership with our families, we strive to ensure that all children fulfil their human potential — academically, socially and spiritually. As Headteacher, I am committed to maintaining this positive learning environment so that our children develop the learning behaviours, resilience and aspirations they need to succeed in the next stages of their education and beyond.

We firmly believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential. Children thrive when these links are strong, and we greatly value the involvement and support of parents and carers. We look forward to building lasting relationships with our families and watching our children develop and flourish as part of the St Joseph’s family.

I hope you find our website informative and that it provides a useful insight into life at St Joseph’s for current and prospective parents and carers. You are warmly invited to visit our school to experience first-hand the spirit of our community. Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly office staff, who will be happy to assist you.

On behalf of the children, staff, parents and Governors, thank you for your interest in our school.
