Our Mission Statement

LOVE JESUS, LOVE OURSELVES, LOVE EACH OTHER, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE LIFE

“I have come that they may have life and have it to the full.” John 10:10

Our mission statement is more than just words — it is the foundation of daily life at St Joseph’s. It reminds us to keep the teachings of Jesus in our thoughts and in our hearts, and to follow His message in all that we say and do.

St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is, first and foremost, a Catholic school. Our Catholic ethos and Gospel values permeate every aspect of school life. Faith is not something we simply talk about; it is something we live out through our actions, relationships and learning.

At St Joseph’s, each child grows and takes strength from their love of Jesus. We work in close partnership with parents, parish and the wider community to create a safe, happy and nurturing environment where every child — regardless of ability or background — feels valued, confident and inspired. We want our children to express their ideas, try new experiences, embrace challenges and aspire to be the very best version of themselves.

Our School Values

Our values are at the heart of who we are:

Kindness – Respect – Pride – Safety – Teamwork

These values are personal to us. They were created through the voices of our children, parents and staff, and they reflect exactly what we want to see in our school community. They shape our expectations, guide our decisions and define our culture.

From these values come our simple and clear school rules:

  • We are kind.

  • We are respectful.

  • We are proud.

  • We are safe.

  • We are a team.

These are not just statements on a wall — they are lived out every day in classrooms, on the playground and within our community. They help our children understand how to treat one another, how to approach their learning and how to grow as young people of faith and character.

At St Joseph’s, we strive to be a school full of love — a place where faith is lived, values are embodied, and every child is supported to live life to the full.
