Breakfast and After School Care – Joe’s Zone Clubs
Breakfast and after school care at St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School is provided by Joe’s Zone Clubs, an independent childcare provider based on the school site. The club offers a safe, friendly and engaging environment for pupils before and after the school day during term time.
Joe’s Zone works closely with the school to ensure a smooth transition between the school day and club activities, supporting children in a familiar and welcoming setting.

Opening Times

The club is based in the school hall, with access to both indoor and outdoor play spaces.
Aims of the Club
Joe’s Zone aims to provide a safe, secure and relaxed environment where children can enjoy a wide range of activities that reflect their interests and needs.
Activities
Children are free to choose from a variety of activities and resources during each session. These may include:

Physical and outdoor play

Reading and quiet time
Activities are planned with children’s interests in mind to ensure sessions are enjoyable and engaging.
Food and Snacks
Joe’s Zone provides healthy snacks, including fresh fruit and vegetables. These are not intended to replace a main evening meal but offer a nutritious option after the school day.
Children are encouraged to develop independence by:

Fresh drinking water is always available, and the club aims to meet individual dietary requirements and parental preferences wherever possible. Snacks are eaten in a calm and friendly setting at the snack table.

Complete regular professional development training

Hold appropriate DBS checks
Staffing ratios are maintained in line with guidance:

Reception (EYFS): 1 adult to 8 children
-
Years 1–6: 1 adult to 10 children
Parents and carers are welcome to speak to a member of staff when collecting their child if they have any queries or concerns. Meetings can also be arranged with the manager if required.

Fee: £5.50 per session
After School Club
Sessions begin at 3:15pm and run until:

Joe’s Zone Clubs operate as a private business, working in close partnership with St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School to ensure continuity of care and strong communication with families.
