Year 6

Welcome to Year 6!

This is an important and exciting year as pupils complete their primary education and prepare for the transition to secondary school. Throughout the year, children will be encouraged to take responsibility for their learning, develop independence, and continue to build confidence in their abilities. We aim to provide a supportive and engaging environment where pupils are challenged, motivated, and proud of their achievements. Year 6 is also a key year for assessments, including the Key Stage Two (KS2) SATs, which help measure the progress pupils have made during their time at primary school. We approach these assessments in a calm and supportive way, ensuring that every child feels confident and well-prepared. If you have any questions or concerns at any point during the year, please do not hesitate to speak to us. We look forward to working together to ensure your child’s success and a smooth transition to the next stage of their education. We also have an exciting residential trip to Wales planned, lots of other opportunities for learning and fun, and an end-of-year production to celebrate the pupils’ achievements.
